Looks beauty! I'd miss that too! Do you wash it with a nylon stocking over it?
Your brick house is much like ours! Do you have an attic?

With a nylon stocking?! :-D lol - don't possess such a thing anymore... No, I wash it 'as is' (couldn't get right into the plaits otherwise)... not that it's going to be for much longer!
My house is a woodsman's cottage. It's tiny inside, and the roofspace is only just big enough for a few suitcases and Christmas stuff :-( But - and this is a big but (not butt) - it has some of the best views around!! :-)

Hey, Finnegan & Buddy, my two favourite California cats!
Fundraising's going pretty well - almost halfway! Another month to go (only a month? Help!) so I need to get some more balls rolling to reach the target... Maybe I'll find someone to donate the rest all in one go :-D
Shall I send you my plaits on a stick to play with? :-D

oh, such beautiful long hair! No matter what I do, mine does not grow that long!!! How sad it has 2 be cut! U have the build for bald though.... some women look sexy bald. I wish U the best of luck, and will keep U in my prayers!
: )

Hi Starbender - yes, it can look good, and I love plaiting it. I think it's probably reached the limit I can deal with it now ('specially the bug-busting!:-S :-D), but it's got its drawbacks - constant care and attention...
Thanks for your words of support - we'll see what I look like bald pretty soon (if people keep on sponsoring me/ donating like they have! ) :-D

Looks good.
Hi there, long time..
How are u?
How do you wash your hair, when its braided like that? Is it comfortable?
_Uday

Hi Uday - good to see you again. Washing's the same as when it's down, except that I spend double the time rinsing the suds out from the middle of the plaits so it doesn't rot them, and it's so comfortable I forget I have them most of the time! They're so easy to care for in between.... no untangling, no ages brushing, no hours styling before I go out... it's great to be lazy :-)

looks like you are having a great time with your current hair style....
May be you'll miss this hair-style after you shave it off...
do put a picture on your blog after,
;-)
good luck,
_Uday

Pretty awesome
Bet you'll be sorry to see it all go -
not to worry it will soon grow & grow
Have to get you a bubble cap or ski cap or whatever it's called for Xmas, with pompons and all

Ooops, won't be a surprise now.
Still bet it won't be the only one you get. Bet you get a different one for every day of the week. lol!

hmmm, yes, I will miss this hairstyle, but I remind myself why I'm doing it, and (although it isn't showing up yet) I've just passed the half-way mark to my target, which is great news!

Quasar9 (and there was I thinking you were giving me one of your poems for Christmas! :-) )
I've already been given a couple of hats, and have some myself anyhow. I think what I might be looking for is a scarf for those chilly Monday mornings, before the school's started warming.... :-)
